One of my favorite Disney films is Finding Nemo. From Marlin fighting off sharks and bouncing on top of jelly fish to Dory forgetting everything , there are so many parts to the movie that keep you laughing. My favorite scene is when Dory gives advice to Marlin about what to do when “life gets you down.”
Fall break is now over and these next eight weeks can be hard and challenging. So what do you do when the stress of teaching or a hard day gets you down?
Just keep teaching.
Just keep teaching.
Just keep teaching teaching teaching.
Sounds simple, right? We have to keep doing what we are here to do. Keep showing up. Keep teaching. Keep moving forward. Don’t give up. If we keep doing these things, we are going to make a difference and have an impact on the students that enter our doors every day.
In the movie, Marlin faced setbacks after setback throughout his journey to find Nemo, however he never stopped moving forward. He never gave up, even when he thought it was pointless.
Just like Marlin, we are going to have setbacks, but as long as we keep moving forward, we will make it.
