TGIM

TGIM

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, I find myself reflecting on all the things I’m grateful for. I am thankful for my wife and my two boys, who bring joy to my life every single day. I’m thankful for my friends and family, who are my constant support system. I’m thankful for my career and the incredible people I get to work with each and every day.

The list of blessings in my life could go on and on, but I won’t bore you. Instead, I want to share something unexpected that I’m thankful for, something many people dread. I am thankful for Mondays.

Yes, you heard me right. Mondays.

Now, I’m not just talking about this Monday because it’s part of a short week. I’m talking about all Mondays. For me, Mondays represent opportunity. They’re not something to dread because I love what I do. I love coming to ICES every day. I love spending time with dedicated teachers and staff members. I love interacting with our incredible students and knowing that together, we’re making a difference.

Why wouldn’t I be thankful for Mondays?

Mondays make up 20 percent of our workweek. Why not make them awesome? Mondays set the tone for the entire week, giving us a fresh start and a new beginning. After the weekend to recharge, we’re ready for the challenges and possibilities ahead. Mondays remind us that we get five days to do what we love. We have five days to live our purpose and make an impact.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love the weekends too. Saturdays and Sundays are the times I get to spend with my family, and that’s something I always look forward to. There’s nothing not to love about a weekend. But here’s the thing. We need to stop living for the weekend and start finding joy in every single day.

So today, and every Monday, I’ll be saying it loud and proud: TGIM! Thank God It’s Monday!

Let’s set the tone for the week ahead. Together, let’s embrace the possibilities and make this week amazing.
