Be the Spark

Last year around this time, As Carissa and I were watching TV, a Chick-Fil-A commercial came on and I ended up falling in love with the message that it shared. If you haven’t seen The Spark commercial, take two minutes to watch it below.

What a perfect message during the holidays for all of us to remember. In the film, Sam was the spark that helped light up her entire town. Our small acts of kindness, gratitude or love can be the spark that helps make someone else’s holiday season bright.

During our last few weeks of school before holiday break, how can you be a spark to someone else? How about a positive word or two to a student or staff member? Maybe you can do a random act of kindness to someone who isn’t expecting it. What about sending a note of gratitude to a loved one? There are so many ways to be the spark. What ideas do you have?

“What all people need is a little hope. A spark that lights the way. And that can be in all of us.”
